'You're gonna be frisked': Biden gets goofy with senators

Vice President Joe Biden had what could have been a boring task Thursday: Appear for photo-ops with elected Senate members for a mock swearing-in. But the exuberant VP doesn't know from boring, and instead turned the whole thing into a party.

The endless stream of jokes mostly aimed at people's moms came under his breath, as he told Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota that she was "gonna be frisked," and addressed a fit-looking relative of South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, saying "if you need any help on your pecs, man, give me a call."

The real star of the event was Rider, the baby of Senator Chris Murphy. Rider didn't seem so into this whole swearing-in thing at first ("No!" he yelled, swatting away the vice president's hand), but he came around. Watch the Biden charm at work below.
